Premiered at this week’s Mondiale del la Biere Festival in Rio, Trooper Brasil IPA is the first ever member of the Trooper beer family to be locally brewed, and will be available exclusively in Brazil. The 5% ABV IPA is made with Cocoa and is the result of a personal collaboration between family-owned Brazilian brewery Bodebrown and Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson.
Brasil IPA aims to provide a local taste twist whilst still retaining the flavour and individuality of the original multiple award-winning beers from Iron Maiden and Robinsons Brewery in Cheshire, England, that have been exported to over 50 countries around the world. Characterised by its low bitterness and subtle notes of cocoa, white chocolate and mango, the IPA is made at the Cavalcanti brothers’ brewery in Curitiba with four types of malt and a dry-hopping of Sorachi Ace, Amarillo and Sabro hops with an infusion of cocoa nibs from the coastal Brazilian city of Iheus.
Ahead of Iron Maiden’s Legacy of The Beast Tour heading to Brazil for three shows in October, including a sold-out headline performance at the world-famous Rock in Rio Festival, the time was perfect to announce a local version of the 25 million pint selling Trooper Beer. UK produced Trooper will continue to be imported to sit alongside the new Brazilian brew.
